Fresh off the week’s tease of the Challenger Hellcat’s brand new “dual-snorkel” hood, Dodge showed a little this 2019 Dodge Charger‘s brand new face and … there is a hole in it. Normally it is impolite to point out things such as a hole in a person’s face, however in this case, it’s good news for everyone who likes fun cars that look awesome.
The hole is an air intake directly motivated by the air intakes Challenger Hellcat and Demon versions have set up of foglights. Dodge states “high performance” versions of the Charger can get an upgraded grille — but didn’t specify which ones make the cut and that don’t. The picture has a Hellcat emblem, so it is definitely at the Charger Hellcat.
“Upgrades inside and outside” outside of the ingestion are promised but also unspecified. Could that include a manual transmission to your Charger Hellcat? How about a mode? Or perhaps build a rally-style variant to challenge that the Subaru Outback’s off-road supremacy when making sure it has a 392 Hemi engine?
These all might be potential upgrades, but it likely means nicer materials within the cabin and updated multimedia and security attributes. Those are good things! They’re just not as much fun to discuss.
Such as the Challenger, Dodge guarantees more information regarding the new Charger from the summer.
